These tours I did with people from Berg und Ski clubs (Novartis Pharma AG or Ciba AG, Switzerland). Their webpage is here.

L'Eveque (3716m)

The "Bischoff" and "Mont Collon" are closing on the south valley Val d'Hérens. Icepyramide L'Eveque is reachable in cca. 4 hrs. from cabanne des Vignettes. The patch comes over crewass-rich glacier by Mt. Collon (easy). *** Hike from Arolla (1998m) to Vignettes hut(3158m) lasts cca. 4 hrs and is on "Bergwanderung" path. The tour is not difficult.

  Hello Martin,
  Some years ago we were on the Pigne d'Arolla. There are some impressional
  things to see:
  - In Euseigne, in Val d'Hérens, the Pyramides,
  called in french "les demoiselles" (rock-pyramides along the street)
  - Lac des Dix; the biggest storage-lake (reservoir) in Switzerland
  - you will have a greate view on the 4000m mountains of the Wallis

Ortstock (Schweizerischer Firmensportverband region Basel - SFS)

Technically easy tour, very good for beginners. Cable car from Luchsingen to Brunnersberg, "wanderung" in 5 hrs to Ortstockhaus. Next day over Baerentritt and summit in cca. 8 hrs. to Braunwaldbahn, then down to Linthal. Map 1:50 000 nr. 246 - Klausenpass.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alphuebel (4200m)

Southwest in Saas-fee region. It's the most southern peak from Mischabel-massive. The summit is covered by ice and snow. Go to Saas-fee, then Bahn to Langfluh (2700m), hike up to Alphuebel cca. 5 hrs. Also 5 hrs you need to get down to Langfluh!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fletschhorn (3997m) & Lagginhorn(4010m)

Eastwards from Saas-fee use a chair lift or hike up to the hut (few hundred meters above the chair-lift stop). Tthere are two chair-lifts, use the shorter one which is more northwards or really walk it up from valley. The tour over Fletschhorn and Weissmunshorn back to hut is quite longish - like 12 hrs. The walk up from hut to Fletschhorn is rather easy, go over the glacier, walk up steep slope, after reaching the edge going upright to Fletschorn, go over the edge and walk over a plateau(low slope) to north-east (through region with few crewasses). Then walk steeply up from north to the summit of Fletschhorn. It's doable in 5 hrs from SAC hut to the summit. Then go downhill from the summit in direction to east (easy) and reach the plateau between Fletschorn and Lagginhorn. Look also for related tour on Weissmieshorn, wchi is few hundred meters southwards. From this plateau go from north over rocky edge of Lagginhorn straight up. Climbing difficulty was once UIAA 1-2 (no snow) or 2-3+ with snow. It's quite long climb, you'll be at the summit after next 2-4 hrs. Then, go just straight down on a very steep part to west, over rocks still straight back to SAC hut. Total time is around 12-14 hrs!

Piz Palu & Piz Bernina

Train from Morteratsch to Bernina Lagalp, then hike up to the Diavolezza hut (or take chair-lift). Then go leftwards around rocks from Diavolezza hut, down over a glacier to Piz Palu - most eastern summit. This part of a glacier is full of crewasses, the walk up to Piz Palu is quite steep.

The walk from eastern over middle to western summit is over very exposed narrow path. From western summit go southwards straight down from the rock to quite shielded plateau (if the weather gets bad) or continue to west/north over Bellavista terasse, then over glacier with lots of crewasses (in one place is a big ice/snow rock with ice falling down) to Marco e Rosa hut (Italy). This hut is incredibly expensive like 6 CHF per 1 L of hot water or 16 CHF per 2 L of tee. Rooms on this hut were quite cold when we were there. Next day try go up to Piz Bernina

- 2 hours walk over eastern side of P. Bernina from Marco e Rosa hut, route over small rocks is slightly easier then walking up steep slope in snow/ice. There's also access from west to Piz Bernina (from Italy), but I've heard it's quite difficult.

Otherwise, from Marco e Rosa hut go back over glacier to Fortezza rocks, climb them down, then simply northwards down over glacier to so place with stones of moraine (Isla Pers?). From there go leftwards (follow Bergwanderweg marked with white/red/white) to west again, down to a glacier bellow Piz Bernina & Piz Morteratsch. This route comes around one bivak (stony hut shielded from east by rock, suitable for up to 4 persons, there were some 2 old matraces!). Then you reach the Vad. da Morteratsch glacier from east. Go over this glacier, there are few crewassess, it's not difficult at all. Find the way yourself. Behind the glacier on the western side besides Piz Morteratsch there's some hut and touristic path going on western side down to Morteratsch village.

After the walk down from this glacier, you appear on the touristic path (following the glacier river) coming down to Morteratsch village.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Petersgrat (3122m)

Go from Kandersteg on bergwanderweg through Gasterenthal to Selden (1'537 M).

Follow bergwanderweg up to a glacier, then to Mutthornhütte (2'898 M). Next day go to Petersgrat, then simply to south down to a valley, then over bergwanderweg to Schwarzsee and village Blatten (1'540 M). In this village, huts stand on wooden parts with flat stone on it. This prevents mice to enter the house.

This tour is quite easy, almost no crewasses on a glacier. From Mutthornhütte you can optionally go to make light climbing of the peak Mutthorn (3'035 M) from the hut (it takes approx. 2 hrs).

Jungfrau-Grunhorn-Aletschgletscher

Get to Monchsjochhutte. In morning go up cca. 4 hrs to Jungfrau and then traverse to Concordiahutte. Next day go up to Grunhorngipfel on the normal path via Grunegghorn. If time permits, after coming down from Gruenhorngipfel go back to Jungfraujoch.

Short alternative trips:

From Monchsjochhutte to Jungfraujoch, evtl. over Klein-Fiescherhorn

Longer trips:
-starting point is Monchjochshutte
a]-over Konkordia platz -> Grunhornlucke 3286m -> travers to Finsteraarhorn hutte -> Finsteraarhorn 4274m -> Monchsjochshutte 3629m
b]-from Grunhornlucke 3286m -> Walliser Fiescherfirn -> Finsteraarhorn hutte -> Fiescher-Sattel 3923m -> Monchsjochshutte 3629m
c]-from South-East on Gross Fiescherhorn 4048m -> down north-western over Ewigschneefald -> Monchsjochshutte 3629m

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Other tours:

(northwestwest) way down directly to Rhone gletscher and back to Hotel Belvedere
-> Eggfirn -> Dammastock 3630m -> eastern direction -> Rand des Rhonegletschers

Dufourspitze 4618m

Sattel (Ruckkehr) 4359m

Zumsteinspitze 4563m

Weissmiehorn 4023m (Waliss) - really nice tour, not much difficult climbing up on rocky mountain ridge (UIAA 2-3) accessible from Almagellahut, ascent to cablecar north-west direction is in one place through huge seracs in the glacier. See Weissmieshorn
